Help bring basketball to life in Loudoun County by supporting D1 Sports & Athletics (D1SA) with a financial contribution for our 2023-24 programming. D1SA is a competitive and developmental basketball organization founded in 2011 for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 12th. On and off the court, D1SA hopes to develop the well-rounded student athlete equipped with basketball skills, pursuing academic achievement, with a strong sense of community service.

With programs ranging from individual training to competitive open gym, to local and national team play and exciting regional special events and showcases, D1SA has ambitious goals that reflect the needs of Loudoun’s fast-growing interest in youth basketball. D1SA began with one team and has continued to expand ever since. Currently, over 300 young men and women, ages 9-18 from throughout the Northern Virginia area are part of the D1SA community.

D1SA competitive AAU teams focus on teaching the game of basketball and preparing the athlete for the next level of play in high school and beyond. The developmental program is focused on teaching the fundamentals of basketball while acquiring a love for the game. In addition to dedicated training, the D1SA basketball program has environments that promote individual confidence, sportsmanship, self-esteem and leadership skills. D1SA’s tutoring program prepares the athlete for academic progress while community service events strengthen leadership skills, helping to develop responsible citizens. Ensuring that any athlete that possesses the passion and willingness to work hard to achieve their goals, through D1SA’s scholarship program, eligible athletes are granted financial assistance.

As a non-profit youth organization, D1SA seeks the support of the community and business leaders to help it succeed with its worthwhile endeavors. Funds generated from your generous support will be used to cover D1SA’s ongoing costs of facility rentals, as well as, programming that includes team and league play, open gym, trainings, the Annual Loudoun Invitational tournament; the summer 3on3 Tournament, Loudoun Basketball Society, summer camps and several special clinics, planned throughout this year.
